Facebook – How To Select All Your Friends In One Blink – Applicable For Events/Pages/Groups

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

Ever tried suggesting a Facebook Fan Page to your friends? How about a Facebook Groups? Or inviting your friends to your created Events? It’s easy if you only have 10 friends or so, it would only take 10 clicks and you are done. But, if you have 5000 friends, then I think you would agree that it would take a million years before you finish selecting them all.

There is this javascript code that you can see in most groups that suggest posting on your browser so that you can easily select all your friends, see it below:

javascript:
elms=
document.getElementById('friends').getElementsByTagName('li');
for(var fid in elms){if(typeof elms[fid] === 'object'){fs.click(elms[fid]);}}

This still works in Google Chrome but it will hang your Firefox browser if you try that code.

So, I’ve found a new code on the web and it is much simpler than the above code. You also need to post this code on your browser address bar.

To Select All Your Friends
javascript:fs.select_all()

To Deselect All Your Friends
javascript:fs.unselect_all()

The code above works on Firefox 3.6 and Google Chrome. It would also work on Pages, Groups and Events.

So what are you waiting for? Test it and have fun :)
